Anthony Anderson, Managing DirectorAnthony Anderson was educated at Leeds Grammar School and Durham University where he read Classics. Anthony joined the Naxos Group in 1989 as Classical Label Manager, working at the Group's Hong Kong Headquarters. In 1997, having acquired a further degree in Business Administration, he was appointed Managing Director of Naxos' UK distribution company, Select Music. David Blake, Head of SalesDavid Blake is 45 and is married with two children. He has been Head of Sales for since 1996. After reading History and Economics at the University of East Anglia, he trained as an accountant with Coopers and Lybrand in London but left before qualifying. He has worked for several record companies, including BMG and Harmonia Mundi, and his main interests outside music are literature and history. Jonathan Francis, Head of Finance & Company SecretaryJonathan Francis joined Select in February 2003. Prior to joining Select he was Finance Director for River Publishing Limited, and was previously Finance Director for Deutsche Telekom Limited. Jonathan is a Chartered Accountant; he studied Economics at the University of Essex and has an MBA from City University Business School in London. His main interests outside work are most sports, playing tennis, sailing and swimming and occasionally cricket, reading and visiting France. Chris Pope, Head of OperationsChris joined Select in May 1995 and is the longest serving Senior Manager. His team looks after the whole of the logistical side of the company including the stock, warehouse, customer services, exports and returns functions. Chris held positions with Wella UK and then the Foreign & Commonwealth Office before working in news distribution for 10 years up to 1995. Outside work, Chris has a general interest in most sports and, when time allows, can often be found on his golf course in West Sussex. Graham Muir, Head of Marketing & Business Development Graham joined Select in 2004. He combines responsibility for marketing and PR with digital services, downloads, licensing, exports and new projects. After reading Economics at Cambridge he specialised in marketing and sales, working in the food and publishing industries for companies such as Heinz, Brooke Bond, Nestlé and United Advertising. He spent 2 years working in Sweden in the mid-90s learning the language and travelling widely. He has a lifelong passion for classical music and is a keen clarinettist. Sporting interests include ice hockey and cricket. Mark Scott, Head of Sales and Marketing, Naxos Audio Books Mark Scott was brought up in Hampshire and went to university in London, where he gained a degree in modern languages and international studies. Mark joined the company in April 2006, and has spent most of his working life in publishing. He has held a number of senior sales and marketing positions in the industry, most notably at Philip’s and more recently at Mitchell Beazley. Mark has traveled widely in pursuit of new sales opportunities. He is married with one daughter. His main interests outside the company include running, cycling, and going to the cinema. Peter Bromley, Naxos Production Manager After university, Peter applied unsuccessfully to join the classical division of a major record company but 18 years later, following careers as a linguist in re-insurance and in teaching, he was invited to join a fledgling Oxford-based record company specialising in renaissance choral music. Peter was appointed Naxos Production Manager in 1999, working with a team of production and editorial assistants, in-house and freelance designers, and numerous authors of booklet notes. Outside work, his principal interests are the music of 20th century Russian and Italian composers, languages, the history of recording, the history of railways and all things Italian.
